Former football club Chairman’s funeral

THE funeral of former Warrington Town Chairman Bob Smith will take place at All Saints Church, Thelwall, on Monday January 12th at 11.15am.

Bob, aged 78, who worked as a chemical engineer at Shell Stanlow, and lived in Thelwall, was chairman of club when they reached the FA Vase Final at Wembley in 1987 and the quarter finals of the FA Trophy in 1993.
He died in hospital on Christmas Day after a short illness.
