More superfast broadband on the way

THE Burtonwood area of Warrington is to get superfast broadband.
BT suppliers Openreach have confirmed their plans for fibre broadband in the area.
The news has been welcomed by Warrington North MP Helen Jones, (pictured).
She said: “The good news is that the Newton-le-Willows exchange is being upgraded to deliver fibre broadband and, unless there are any last minute technical hitches, the work should be completed very soon. I know this will please the many constituents living in the area who have raised the issue problem of broadband speeds with me.
“The cabinets serving homes in the area will then need to be upgraded but that work should be undertaken over the next few months.
“Constituents are advised to register their interest for the fibre product with their service provider who will let them know when it becomes available.”
