Man rescued from waterway

FIRE crews assisted police and paramedics to rescue a man from a waterway at Warrington.
The man was in Dallam Brook, near Hawleys Lane and an inflatable raft was used in the rescue. He was handed over to an ambulance crew and taken to hospital.
One fire engine and a water incident unit from Warrington, one fire engine from Stockton Heath and a fire engine and rope rescue unit from Knutsford were involved in the operation.
The man is not believed to be seriously harmed.
