Homes evacuated as fire breaks out

RESIDENTS were evacuated from a row of six terraced houses at Warrington after fire broke out in mid-terrace property.
The blaze was in Shiggins Close, Great Sankey and fire crews from Warrington, Stockton Heath, Birchwood and Widnes were called to the scene.
Firefighters tackled the blaze with hosereel jets and also removed roof tiles from the house in order to play jets on the fire and prevent it from spreading to adjoining houses.
No-one was hurt and all residents managed to escape to safety.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
