Facelift for day centre

0

A DAY centre for adults with learning and physical disabilities at Warrington is to be given a facelift and new facilities to improve the quality of life of its users.
Planning chiefs have given the go-ahead for the alterations at Gorse Covert Day Centre, in Adlington Court, Birchwood.
A refurbished main entrance, with automatic doors will improve the functionality of the 30-year-old building and the services provided. A rear, glazed corridor will have no adverse implications for adjoining land and there are no highway implications or impacts on trees within the site.
Internally, there will be new activity rooms and accessible WC and changing and shower facilities.
The centre caters for about 120 people.
