Two fire crews tackle car fire on M6 at Woolston

TWO fire crews were called out this morning to tackle a car fire on the M6 near the Woolston interchange.

Shortly after 9 am crews from Lymm and Birchwood attended the incident on the M6 South, between junctions 21 to 20

Firefighters were called to extinguish a car on fire on the hard shoulder of the M6.
The crews used a hose reel to dampen the flames and Cheshire Police and Highways Agency attended and closed lanes one and two of the carriageway.
There were no reports of any injuries.
