Three fire crews tackle car blaze on M56

THREE fire crews were called out to deal with a car fire on the M56 at Warrington last night.

The incident took place at around 8.15pm when firefighters were informed of a car being on fire on the M56 eastbound, between junctions 10 (Stretton) and nine (Lymm).
On arrival crews found a Vauxhall Corsa well alight.
All of the occupants were out of the vehicle.
Firefighters extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet.
Then then handed the incident over to Highways England.
Firefighters were in attendance for around half-an-hour.
