Investigation into early morning house fire

AN investigation has been launched into the cause of a fire which caused extensive damage at a house at Orford, Warrington.
The blaze was in School Road shortly before 9am today and fire engines from Warrington and Penketh were sent to the scene.
At first it was believed someone might be trapped inside the property but everyone was accounted for and crews isolated the gas and electricity supplies and tackled the fire using a hose reel jet.
A ventilation unit was used to clear smoke from the property and neighbouring properties.
