FIRE crews came to the rescue of a number of sheep after they got into difficulties in the water at Lymm Dam.

The Service’s rope rescue unit and swift water rescue technicians used rafts to rescue the animals and bring them on to dry land.

Poor things, I bet they were scared stiff. Well done to the rescuers 😀 I hope all the sheep are ok… you’d think with all that heavy wool they’d just sink like a brick and be gone in a flash 🙁
Wonder whether the farmer will receive an invoice for the cost of all the resources utilised to return his sheep home…..
