Cashless parking is now available at five Warrington Borough Council car parks.
Parking can be now be paid for by using your mobile phone and a debit or credit card. This facility is provided by RingGo, an established provider of cashless parking across the country.
This service will be available at car parks in Lymm (Henry Street, Pepper Street and Davies Way), Stockton Heath (Forge) and at the Town Hall.
RingGo is a quick and easy to use mobile phone service, which enables you to pay for your parking with a credit or debit card, rather than having to use cash at a machine.
With RingGo:
• You no longer need to carry change
• You don’t have to visit a parking machine
• You don’t need to walk back with a parking ticket – Civil Enforcement Officers check which vehicles are parked with RingGo via their handheld units

…and no mention that it will actually cost you MORE to park if you use their new cashless machines unless you read the FAQ’s or go to RinGo’s website and use their parking charge calculator to see how much you will actually be charged !
Yes, and for that doubtful privilege you have to disclose your card details to yet another organisation.
I have used this system in several towns and cities and it does work really well, never had an issue with Ring Go.
