Warrington Wolverines have been drawn away against Lincoln Moorlands Railway FC in the third qualifying round of the women’s FA Cup.

The Wolverines progressed courtesy of a comfortable 2-0 away win against Chorltonians in the previous round.

Wendy Booth opened the scoring after 25 minutes, heading home Nic Chatterley’s pinpoint corner.

The Wolverines enjoyed the majority of the possession, creating several chances and playing some lovely football across the park.

Emma Ayrton doubled the lead in the second half, intercepting a pass from the Chorltonians’ keeper before blasting the ball into the roof of the net.

Wolverines’ game at Lincoln will be played on Sunday, 9th October (2.00pm).

This Sunday the Wolverines face Liverpool Marshall Feds away in the North West Women’s Regional Football League Division One South (IM Marsh, Barkhill Road, Aigburth, L17 6BD – 2.00pm).
