FOLLOWING an extensive national recruitment exercise, Future Tech Studio School (FTS) is delighted to announce the appointment of Gail Stonier as the new Principal, building on the vision and success of the school’s first year.
Gail said, “I’m extremely pleased to be joining Future Tech Studio as the Principal at such an exciting time in the school’s history. 14 – 19 education is my passion and combined with the employability links available as part of the Studio School model, I feel Future Tech Studio is a fantastic way of preparing young people for their future careers.”
With a highly successful career in 14-19 education, Gail has gained an extensive knowledge of education and training, joining FTS from Leeds City College where she is Assistant Principal.
Gail is highly respected throughout the School and College sector, having played a key role at Leeds City College, in charge of the 14-16 Apprenticeship Academy and A-Level Provision. Formerly she was Assistant principal at Longley Park 6th Form with responsibility for teaching and learning across the college.
Gail is impressed with the commitment and pride of the staff and students during her visits to FTS prior to taking up her appointment in September 2015.
Gail added, “The students are all extremely proud of FTS and what they have achieved so far in the first year of the school. Working with the highly skilled staff and dedicated employment team, I will ensure that students are given the best opportunities possible. In the FTS environment they will be stretched and challenged to provide them with the skills they need to be successful in their chosen career. Together we will all work in conjunction with parents to continue to make Future Tech Studio School a resounding success.”
