Warrington Hospital now focussed on recovery phase of COVID-19 pandemic

WITH no COVID-19 related deaths for three weeks and just one patient remaining in care, Warrington Hospital is now focussed on the recovery phase of the pandemic.

As a result this will be the last weekly update on WHH’s Covid-19 position.
Covid-19 update for week ending Thursday 30th July (previous week in brackets)

·To date the hospital tested 13,195 (12,165) inpatients/community of which 1,193 (1,192) have tested positive.
·They are currently caring for 1 (1 ) in-patient who has tested positive for Covid-19, there are NO Covid-19 positive patients in ICU (0)
·They have discharged 384 (382) patients and sadly 136 (136) have died – this continues to be the lowest Covid-related in-patient mortality rate for all acute hospitals in the north west
·Daily average patients through A&E is 218 (216) and for Runcorn Urgent Care Centre is 58 (52)
·56 Babies born this week (inc. home and hospital) compared with (49) in the same week last year.
