TWO more COVID-19 deaths reported at Warrington Hospital and one new case confirmed

TWO more COVID-19 related deaths have sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital while one new case has been confirmed.

A total of 133 patients have now sadly died at the hospital along with at least 96 people in local care homes, taking the town’s death toll to at least 229.
The total number of Warrington residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 at the hospital now numbers 810, a rate of 386.5 per 100,000 population.
The latest two deaths occured yesterday (Tuesday) and on Sunday.
Across the UK the daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths was 176, taking the total number of deaths to 43,906.
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 829 taking the total number to 313,483.

Meanwhile the latest data showing the number of new Covid-19 cases in each local authority has been published by Public Health England.
It shows the rate of new cases in each area, based on tests that have been carried out in laboratories and in the wider community.
It shows the number of cases per 100,000 population, for the week ending Sunday, June 21.
Warrington has 9.1 cases while Leicester, which has become the first area to have a “local lockdown” tops the list with 140.2.
