A WARRINGTON-born man is supporting national employability charity Young Enterprise in their mission to give young people the skills they need to boost employability
Jack Miller, 25, a business management and entrepreneur graduate of the University of Chester, has set up a partnership between his company, Career Velocity, and Young Enterprise – which is aiming to support young people to secure their dream career
The partnership will include a free career development webinar and a prize draw for a one-to-one career development session. Both will help the winner create a career plan and continue their professional development. This partnership can trace its roots back to 2014 when Jack entered a Young Enterprise competition while at university..
Career Velocity will be delivering this free career development webinar with Young Enterprise tomorrow (Wednesday) at 5pm, and Jack will then be giving a virtual presentation at the University in September to inspire budding entrepreneurs on the Venture Programme.
Jack graduated from the university in 2016 and quickly secured commercial roles at world-leading luxury car brands, including Bentley, Bugatti and Aston Martin where he is Global Retail Performance Lead. He started his own business, Career Velocity, to provide a bespoke service helping people to develop their career and secure their next job opportunity. He now lives in Rugby.
He said: “The support programmes provided by the University of Chester and Young Enterprise have undoubtedly helped me to secure my dream jobs and given me the skills and ambition to run my own business.
“I set up Career Velocity to pass on my tips and experiences to help people develop their career with coaching, CV writing and interview preparation.
“Supporting Young Enterprise and the next generation of professionals and entrepreneurs, seemed like the perfect way to repay the University and Young Enterprise for the support they have given me, particularly given the tough employment environment we are currently in.”
