Coronavirus – important to support local businesses during unprecedented times

0

IN a week when Warrington has had its first confirmed case of Coronavirus there has been little else dominating the headlines during these unprecedented times.

As I pen these notes it has also been announced that the Local Elections scheduled to take place in May have now been postponed for one year.

How this will impact on those who had been planning to retire in May we have yet to see?

The Coronavirus is now impacting on all our daily lives, with events being cancelled or postponed, from sporting events to concerts and much more we are living in very fluid times as we try to keep up to date with the latest news and advice.

We are told the situation is likely to peak in the next few weeks and while Warrington has only one confirmed case it will only be a matter of time before there are more cases.

With symptoms affecting people to various degrees it is likely that some will be infected without even knowing.

Many local businesses, hoping for a bounce back after all the Brexit uncertainty, will now be worrying what the future holds. It is important that we try and support our local SMEs the best we can during this period of uncertainity.

Warrington has shown strength and resilience in the face of adversity before and it is important that we all remain calm and attempt to carry on as best we can while taking on board the Government advice.

Most importantly ensure you take your information from official Government and Health sources and try and avoid the conflicting message popping up all over social media.

Meanwhile we will continue to try our best to bring you your local news updates as and when we can.
