A TRIO of Warrington Wolves’ youngsters have been called up to the England Youth Squad.
Ben Warrilow, James Saltonstall and Ben Moores have all been selected as members of the 2010 England Youth Squad.
This achievement reflects the hard work, skill, commitment and dedication to Rugby League they have all shown.
All three players have been involved in the England setups in the past. In July 2009, Ben Warrilow and James Saltonstall played in the European competition (Ben Moores was selected but was in Australia at the time of the competition) for the U15 England team that won the Cup.
This was a fantastic achievement as the competition was for the U16 age group. An even bigger achievement was the selection of Ben Warrilow in the “European Dream Team”.
England Youth and England Schools will now encompass both the U15s and the U16s in a single programme ‘England Youth 2010’.
The players will have three training camps over the next year including one in France where they will take on the French Youth National team.
Ben Lazenby, Warrington Wolves Player Performance Manager, was duly impressed by the selections. He said: “This is a massive honour and achievement for these three players. However, they must all keep their feet on the
ground and continue to work hard at everything they do.
“As well as congratulating Ben Warrilow, James Saltonstall and Ben Moores, all at Warrington Wolves would like to take the opportunity to congratulate all of the junior players who have made the 2010 England Youth Squad and wish them a successful future within the game.”
