Warrington Diabetes Reversal Day event

A special Diabetes Reversal Day event is taking place at Warrington Market next Saturday, November 2.

The Public Health Collaboration will be at Warrington Market from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm with a message of hope for people who have Type 2 Diabetes and for people who just want to lose weight and become healthy.

People are invited to come and meet the team of Public Health Collaboration Ambassadors led by Warrington based family GP Dr Joanne McCormack.

The event will show:

* The benefits of eating real food

* The root cause of Type 2 Diabetes

* How to undo the root cause of Type 2 Diabetes

* Regular local Support Groups to help and motivate

For 23 years Dr Joanne McCormack has worked in mainly one practice but now works across several practices as a GP.
Most Warrington GPs and nurses are aware of what she does (and many refer people to her). She finds many people come back months later feeling better and on a reduced list of medication, or maybe none.
She is one of a group of 12 founder doctors nationally of the charity known as the Public Health Collaboration. The Public Health Collaboration is an international study group numbering 350 people.

Dr McCormack said: “I am an Ambassador for the PUBLIC HEALTH COLLABORATION and along with other local PHC Ambassadors provide regular weekly and monthly meetings to provide support for people who have type 2 diabetes, have been diagnosed as prediabetic or just want to lose weight.

“One in ten people over 40 in the UK are now living with a diagnosis of Type 2 diabetes, according to our new analysis released 27 Feb 2019. The new figures show that there are 3.8 million people living with a diagnosis of diabetes in the UK, and 90% of those have Type 2 diabetes.

“10,600 hospital admissions are directly attributed to obesity.

“People need to have a truthful message of hope which is evidence based. Having their diabetes type 2 reversed, being medication free and becoming healthy and losing weight is a wonderful message of hope.

“What choices can a person with Type 2 Diabetes make?

“If people are up for changing their BEHAVIOUR we’re ready and available to support them.

“If those diagnosed as Prediabetic or having Type 2 Diabetes change their behaviour in the right areas of their lives by making the right choices, there’s every chance that they won’t need medication

“People can feel discouraged and alone with their obesity and Type 2 Diabetes and they need to hear a positive message of HOPE.
We need to talk about TYPE 2 DIABETES REMISSION.”
