WARRINGTON Wolves went top of the Super League table, albeit perhaps for only 20 hours or so, with a comfortable 48-12 win over London Broncos.
Tom Lineham’s hat-trick was the stand-out achievement in a win that moves them above St Helens on goal difference, before Saints’ trip to Catalans on Saturday.
Blake Austin followed his outstanding show at Hull last week with another two tries, and there were also scores for Josh Charnley, Jason Clark, Stefan Ratchford and Ryan Atkins.
The Wolves led 20-0 at half time to put themselves in control, and though London did get on the board in the second half, they never troubled Steve Price’s men.
After the match Head Coach Steve price said: “I thought it was really dominant display by our lads. To score that amount of points is always pleasing.”
Warrington: Ratchford, Lineham, King, Atkins, Charnley, Austin, Patton, Hill, D Clark, Tasi, Currie, Livett, Philbin. Interchanges: Murdoch-Masila, J. Clark, Walker, Davis.
London Broncos: Walker, Dixon, Morgan, Fleming, Williams, Smith, Meadows, Richards, Pelissier, Butler, Pitts, Gee, Lovell. Interchanges: Battye, Mason, Ioane, Davies.
That winning feeling! 😀😀
