Fire crews in hour-long battle with kitchen blaze

FIRE crews took more than an hour to deal with a house fire at Warrington last night.
The blaze was in Sunningdale Close, Burtonwood shortly after 7pm.
Fire engines from Warrington and Penketh went to the scene and crews tackled the blaze which was in the kitchen. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the3 flames.
A ventilation unit was then used to clear smoke from the premises.
