Boy charged with homophobic hate crime at Youth Cafe

A TEENAGE boy has been charged with an alleged homophobic hate crime at Warrington’s Youth Café.
The alleged offence took place in June but the youth was only charged overnight.
It is alleged that throughout an interview with police he verbally abuse an officer.
After being charged and bailed to appear in court, it is alleged he smashed property in the reception area of the custody suite – resulting in him being re-arrested.
He has now also been charged with causing criminal damage
