Drink drive suspect arrested after driving at police officer

A suspected drink driver has been arrested at Bewsey after driving straight at a police officer in a bid to make a getaway.

After driving at the police officer in a bid to make a getaway the van was later found abandoned. The driver was discovered hiding in a nearby garden.

He was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and dangerous driving.

During another incident during the early hours of this morning two men were arrested for affray in Crown Street hear the town centre, after another male was allegedly kicked in the head.

A young male was also arrested at the Warrington Youth Cafe this morning for an alleged hate crime.
