Police hunt for man who kicked in door and threatened Culcheth couple

POLICE are urging witnesses to come forward after a couple were left badly shaken after being threatened by a man who kicked in the back door of their home at Culcheth.

The incident happened at around 10.10pm last Thursday (JUly 12) when a man made threats to the occupiers of a property on Churchill Avenue in Culcheth and kicked down their back door.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed anything in the area that may help with their investigation to get in touch.

They are also keen to hear from anyone who drove along Churchill Avenue between 10pm and 10.30pm and has dashcam footage.

Sergeant Ian McNabb said: “The occupiers have been left extremely shaken up by the incident and we are determined to catch the man responsible and make him face the consequences of his actions.

“We believe that a number of people walked and drove past the property on Churchill Avenue while the incident was taking place and are keen to speak to them.

“We also want to hear from anyone who believes they may have dashcam footage of the man or has any other information that may assist in our ongoing investigation.”
