Hazeldine’s Home and Garden keeping it in the family

WHEN Paul Hazeldine was made redundant three years ago he decided to set up his own business – Hazeldine’s Home and Garden Maintenance.

But never in his wildest dreams did he expect it to grow as much as it has.

By the end of 2017 they were turning business away, having undertaken some superb projects for customers in addition to carrying out regular garden maintenance.

“We needed to make a decision,” said Paul. “Carry on turning people away or recruit a second team. We decided to do the latter.”

The decision coincided with Paul’s wife, Lindsay, also being made redundant so it was a “no brainer” said Paul. “Lindsay loves gardening, so it made sense to give it ago’.

Together with Andy, a family friend, Lindsay and Andy are filling up the diary quickly – thanks to advertising placed in warrington-worldwide’s sister publication Village Life.

Paul added: “We have such an array of customers, from small gardens to large properties and businesses. Many people need more than a fortnightly mow and hoe. We’ve installed greenhouse bases, patios, raised beds, restored patios, painted fences, cleaned ponds, repaired shed roofs and built gazebos.”

Lindsay said: ‘It has been such a refreshing change to work outdoors and to meet Paul’s customers. It can be quite hard at times but the reward in leaving a garden nice and tidy is great. Paul is a great boss too – who could ask for more?’

Hazeldine’s Home and Garden is based locally in Daresbury and serving Stockton Heath, Appleton, Hatton, Moore, Lymm, Sandymoor and surrounding villages. If you think you could use their services you can email [email protected] or call 01928742830 and leave a message.
