Inspirational Liverpool Writer, Amanda Brooke, is set to appear at Culcheth Library later this month.

Amanda has an amazing story behind why she began writing. It was only when her young son was diagnosed with cancer that Amanda began to develop her writing, recording her family’s journey in a journal and through poetry. When her son, Nathan, passed away in 2006 at just three years old, Amanda was determined that his legacy would be her inspiration to continue with her writing career.

Her first novel ‘Yesterday’s Sun’ was published in January 2012 and was selected for the Richard and Judy Spring Book Club List.

Her story ‘The Affair’ is going to be the Culcheth book of the Month – to be launched on the night of the author visit. Her new book ‘The Bad Mother’ is due to be published on February 22.

Strategic Library Manager, Wendy Molyneux said “We are delighted to welcome our Book of the Month author Amanda Brooke to Culcheth library. She draws on her life experience to create an emotional journey for the reader, so we know we are going to share a fantastic evening which will give a great insight into the life and career of this inspirational woman.”

Tickets for an evening with Amanda Brooke at Culcheth Library that begins February 20 at 6.30pm and includes refreshments are £2.50 and are available from all of LiveWire’s Libraries.
