Green belt plan

PLANNING bosses have been asked to approve the demolition of a property on green belt land to make way for a new, larger building.
The building, in Stone Pit Lane, Croft, Warrington was formerly a semi-detached dwelling, but has been separated from the re-developed adjacent property.
The application is to demolish the former semi and rebuild it as a larger detached dwelling.
Officers are recommending the scheme be refused. They say the proposed new building would have a footprint 65 per cent greater than the original building.
But their objections relate to a glazed front projecting element which, they say, would be out of character with the rest of the property and the adjoining area.
