Firework display for school funds

PARENTS and teachers at Appleton Thorn Primary School are organising a firework display to raise funds for the school.
The event will take place in the school grounds in Arley Road on Saturday, November 8
In addition to fireworks, there will be a children’s fun fair, hog roast, barbecue, hot and cold drinks, music, novelties, etc.
The gates open at 6pm and the display will start at 7pm.
Parking will be available at the Thorn Cross Young Offenders Institution car park, which is next to the school.
PTA chairman Geoff Shaw said: “People with fireworks, including sparklers, will not be admitted for safety reasons.”
