New bobby on the beat

A LOCAL community has now got a new “bobby on the beat” overseeing the work of Police Community Support Officers.
Steve Martin, (pictured right) is the new “beat manager” for Lymm and has already been working in the area for the past 12 months tackling crime.
In his new role Steve will spend his week days focusing on the community, overseeing the work of the PCSOs but at weekends he will continue to be involved alongside fellow officers tackoing any “anti-social” problems in the village.
“The structure of the community units has been changed but it has not changed the number or strength of officers on duty,” he told members of the parish council.
