A TEAM of 11 women from a local firm raised more than £2,500 for Cancer Research UK by competing in a charity race.
The group, from Intrinsic Technology at Haydock, took part in the Race for Life at Tatton Park, Knutsford – all dressed in pink.
The firm has adopted Cancer Research as its corporate charity for the next year, and a sponsored bike ride for the charity is to be held later this month.
A team of five cycling fans from the company will face the gruelling three-day challenge of riding from the head office in Haydock to the company’s office in London, passing through Shrewsbury and Northampton along the way.
During the next year Intrinsic hopes to raise more than £20,000 for Cancer Research UK.
