Planners' objections overruled

A HOMEOWNER in Warrington has been given the green light to extend his property despite objections from planning officers.
The property in Hallfields Road, Orford, can have a two storey side and rear extension after the borough council’s development control committee approved the proposal.
Orford councillor Mike Hannon supported the scheme, which had been recommended for refusal by officers.
Officers had said the plans would breach the “terracing” code operated by the council and would damage the character of the street.
