YOUNG volunteers from Warrington will be getting on their bikes to help prevent cruelty towards children.
All the money raised by the bikers, who are aged between 16 and 25, from the Warrington Volunteer Centre, will go to Childline and the Child Protection Helpline.
They will be cycling from Warrington to Dunham Massey and back again on August 28.
The ride is part of the NSPCC’s Big Bike Ride, which will see the Warrington group join hundreds of others in trying to raise thousands of pounds for the charities.
Project manager Georgina Gunn said “Taking part in a bike ride, could not be easier. People of all abilities are welcome to take part, any distance makes a difference to children and young people who are dealing with the trauma of abuse.”
There is still time to join the young volunteers on the bike ride by contacting the Youth Volunteering Team on 01925 242424, 07846 883616 or emailing info@warringtonyv.org.uk
