Care workers' long service awards

FOUR members of staff at a local nursing home have been presented with awards after completing 20 years service.
The four, who work at the High Peak Nursing Home, in Main Lane, Kenyon have all been there ever since the home opened.
They are activities co-ordinator Anita Challinor, senior care assistant Carole Davies, laundry supervisor Julie Harvey and care assistant Marian Mains.
The awards were made by Geoff Wade, chief operations officer for European Care England, owners of the home.
High Peak manager Stephen Gartside said: “We have a very settled staff – about 60 per cent have been here for more than 10 years.
“But these four have all been with us since the home opened 20 years ago.
