PART of a busy commuter route into Warrington is to be closed to allow for repair work.
Driving will be prohibited and the footpath closed on the Knutsford Road swing bridge over the Manchester Ship Canal. Closure will be from 8am to 6pm on Sunday June 8.
The alternative route will be via Hunts Lane, Ackers Road, Grappenhall Road, London Road, Wilderspool Causeway, Knutsford Road and vice versa.
The temporary restriction is to allow for essential maintenance works to be undertaken on the bridge structure and bridge deck.
