FIREFIGHTERS were called to two separate fires in Warrington on Bonfire Night, including a small rowing boat which is believed to have been deliberately set alight in Lymm.
The first incident was reported at 6.36pm on Thursday, November 5, at Massey Brook Lane, Lymm.
One fire engine from Stockton Heath attended the scene, where firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish a fire involving a small rowing boat.
The boat is believed to have been deliberately set alight.
Later in the evening, at 7.49pm, firefighters were called to Clearwater Quays, Warrington, following reports of a small fire involving logs on a railway embankment.
One fire engine from Warrington attended and crews used a water backpack to put out the fire.
There were no further details available about either incident.
The incidents came as emergency services prepared for one of the busiest nights of the year, with Bonfire Night traditionally bringing an increased risk of fires and anti-social behaviour.
