A man arrested following concerns for his safety in Warrington is currently being dealt with by police at Warrington Hospital.
Police were called to Pendlebury Street at around 8am today (Tuesday, September 29) following concerns for the safety of a man.
Officers attended and arrested the man on suspicion of public order offences.
He was then taken to Warrington Hospital as a precautionary measure.
Police say that while at the hospital, the man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency services worker and criminal damage.
He remains at the hospital at this time.Police have stressed that the man’s arrest relates to the incident and the allegations remain subject to investigation.
Cheshire Constabulary confirmed: “At 8am on Tuesday 29 September, police were called to concerns for the safety of a man on Pendlebury Street, Warrington.
