POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a cyclist suffered serious injuries after being involved in a collision with a HGV at Rixton last Wednesday, September 16.
The incident happened at around 2.45 pm on Wednesday, September 16, on the A57 Manchester Road in Rixton.
Cheshire Police were called following reports of a collision involving a pedal cyclist and a HGV.
The cyclist, a 43-year-old man, was seriously injured and taken to hospital for treatment.
Police have now launched an appeal for witnesses and anyone who may have captured the collision on dashcam footage.
Sergeant Jon Dixon said: “We are urging anyone who may have witnessed this incident to please get in touch with us as part of our enquiries into the circumstances.
“The same goes for anyone who may have been driving in the area and has any dashcam footage.”
No arrests have been made and enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the collision are continuing.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who was driving along Manchester Road at the time and has relevant dashcam footage, is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101.
