FIREFIGHTERS were called to Alder Lane, Warrington, after a commercial bin caught fire outside a business.
The incident happened at around 12.31pm on Thursday, September 17, with one fire engine from Birchwood Fire Station attending.
Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the blaze, which involved a commercial waste bin situated outdoors.
The fire is believed to have been accidentally started by discarded smoking materials.
The incident serves as a reminder that cigarettes and other smoking materials should be completely extinguished and disposed of safely, particularly when placed near combustible waste.
