Fuel spillage at Lymm truck stop contained by firefighters

FIRE crews were called to the Lymm truck stop after a tanker fuel spill at the service area on Wednesday evening.

One fire engine from Lymm attended the incident at the Cliff Lane site shortly before 6pm on September 16.

Firefighters dealt with the spillage by using absorbent mats and sand to contain the fuel and prevent it from spreading further.
The affected area was also cordoned off as a safety precaution while the spill was dealt with.
The Lymm truck stop is located off Cliff Lane and serves traffic using the nearby M6 and M56 interchange.
