FOUR casualties were cared for by paramedics following a road traffic collision on the M56 at Stretton, Warrington, which resulted in a full closure last night.
At 22:30 two fire engines from Lymm and Warrington, and one fire engine from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service were called to a road traffic collision on the M56.
No one was trapped, and firefighters assessed four casualties before handing them over to paramedics. The road was fully closed by the police while the incident was dealt with and due to damage to the central reservation.
Diversions were put in place but the road has since fully reopened.
Update 3: M56 eastbound between J10 and J9 near Warrington
Both carriageways have been reopened following an earlier collision.
