A new Warrington home support service, Ann’s Gentle Hands, has officially launched to transform how elderly and vulnerable adults experience care in their own homes.
Founded on the deeply personal experiences of its Director, Darren Earl, the company targets a vital but frequently overlooked aspect of independent living: companionship and emotional wellbeing.
The inspiration for the business came when Mr Earl was navigating the complexities of home care for his own mother, Ann. While observing her health decline, he realised that many people do not initially require rigorous medical or personal care. Instead, they require a helping hand with daily routines and, most importantly, someone to talk to.
Many older adults face quiet isolation, a challenge that can significantly impact their physical and mental health. Ann’s Gentle Hands aims to bridge this gap by delivering services tailored to comfort, safety, and community integration. The provider’s offerings include: Assisting with grocery shopping, meal preparation, and light domestic chores. Also, accompanying individuals to medical appointments and local social outings.
They also offer dedicated sitting and respite services to give family members a crucial break from their care duties.
The company’s foundational ethos is directly inspired by the warmth and respect Ann showed to others throughout her life. Before she passed away, Mr Earl spoke with his mother about establishing a business in her name to perpetuate those exact qualities.
