Teenage female ambassador flying the flag for Warrington at UK Galaxy Pageant Final praised by Mayor

A Warrington teenager has been congratulated by the town’s Mayor for her outstanding commitment to volunteering and community service as she prepares to represent the town on a national stage at the UK Galaxy Pageant Final.

Isabelle “Issy” Grace Thompson, aged 14, a finalist in the UK Galaxy Pageant, has been congratulated by Warrington Mayor Cllr. Mo Hussain for her remarkable volunteering efforts at such a young age. Issy will represent Warrington in the UK Galaxy Pageant Final, a major achievement that highlights both her personal dedication and her pride in her hometown.
During a recent recognition, Mayor Hussain praised Issy’s commitment, describing her as an inspiring example to other young people.
“It’s absolutely amazing to see someone so young doing so much volunteering,” the Mayor said.
“Issy is a great example of what young people can achieve. I would say to many young people: follow what Issy does, be a volunteer, and be inspired by her.”
Alongside her pageant journey, Issy has ambitious plans to continue giving back to the community. She is preparing to take part in a range of fundraising charity events, using her Instagram platform to raise awareness and vital funds for causes close to her heart.
She has already raised money for Plan International Africa to help children in need and covers help with education. Issy has also donated pet food to Warrington Animal Welfare and will be volunteering for St Joseph’s Family Centre in Warrington. These events will include community-based activities and sponsored challenges designed to encourage others to get involved and support local and national charities.
Issy also plans to use her role as a Galaxy Pageant ambassador to empower and uplift young women, promoting confidence, self-belief and the importance of giving back. Through community engagement and social media, she hopes to encourage young people to pursue their goals while making a positive difference to others. Her platform encourages young women to speak out if they have experienced abuse, and it raises awareness.
Representing Warrington in the UK Galaxy Pageant Final is a proud moment for Issy and the town alike, showcasing the impact that young volunteers can have.
As Mayor Hussain concluded: “Thank you, and congratulations. You are doing an amazing job.”
Issy Grace Thompson’s journey stands as a powerful reminder that age is no barrier to making a meaningful impact — and Warrington will be cheering her on as she takes to the national stage.
