FIREFIGHTERS were called out during the early hours of this morning following reports of a car well alight on the M56 at Warrington.
At 02:54 one fire crew from Lymm attended the incident on the Eastbound carriageway of the M56 near junction 9 near Appleton Thorn.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish a fire involving a car which was well alight on the hard shoulder. The driver was safely accounted for.
