Police are appealing for witnesses and video footage after a Warrington man was charged with dangerous driving, following a serious collision on the M56.

At around 7.10pm on Monday 15 December, police were called to reports of a collision on the westbound carriageway of the M56 between junctions 7 (Altrincham) and 6 (Hale Barns)
Officers attended and on arrival they found that there had been a collision between three vehicles, a red Ford Transit van, a Green Ford Mondeo and a blue BMW 3 series.
Three lanes were closed while officers dealt with the incident, but thankfully there were no reports of any serious injuries.
The driver of the BMW, a 29-year-old man from Warrington, was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit and dangerous driving. He has since been released on bail.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and as part of the investigation officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone with any dashcam footage of the collision.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 or at www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us quoting IML 2234151.
