WARRINGTON Borough Council is advising residents of changes to bin collection schedules during the festive period.
Please check the revised dates below to ensure your waste and recycling are collected on time.
Christmas Week Collections
If your usual bin day is Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, your collection will move one day earlier. If your usual bin day is Friday, it will move to the following Monday:
- Tuesday 23 December → Monday 22 December
- Wednesday 24 December → Tuesday 23 December
- Thursday 25 December → Wednesday 24 December
- Friday 26 December → Monday 29 December
New Year Week Collections
If your usual bin day is Thursday or Friday, your collection will move one day later:
- Tuesday 30 December → No change
- Wednesday 31 December → No change
- Thursday 1 January 2026 → Friday 2 January 2026
- Friday 2 January 2026 → Saturday 3 January 2026
Recycling centres will be open as normal, except on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day, when they will be closed.
