LENGTHY delays of an hour with six miles of congestion were being reported on the M6 near Warrington this evening following a collision.
Lanes 3 & 4 (of 4) were closed on the M6 northbound between J20 (M56) & J21 (Warrington) due to the collision.
Long delays of at least 60 minutes on approach and 6 miles of congestion were being reported by National Highays.
Although all lanes have since reopened, traffic remained heavy in the area.
It followed on from an earlier incident involving a car fire on the northbound slip road near Lymm.
All vehicles have been moved out of live lane and all lanes are reopen on the #M6 northbound between J20 (#M56) and J21 (#Warrington) following a collision.
