FIREFIGHTERS were called out following reports of a car well alight on the M6 northbound slip road near Lymm.
At 16:09, today, Wednesday, one crew attended the scene at Junction 20 northbound where a car was well alight on the slip road.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the fire. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots before handing the scene over to the police.
