Road closure for up to four weeks on Bridgewater Avenue

A road closure for up to four weeks is set to come into force later this month on Bridgewater Avenue, Warrington, from its junction with the A50 Kingsway South.

The closures for highway improvement works, starting on October 16, are scheduled to be for off-peak hours.

Warrington Borough Council has given notice intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway on Bridgewater Avenue from its junction with A50 Kingsway South to its junction with Brindley Avenue.
The Order will be effective from 16th October 2025 for 4 weeks, during off-peak hours, however, will be in place as and when signed on site.
Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.  A localised alternative route will be signed on site. The restrictions are required for Highway improvement works.
