FIREFIGHTERS were called out to tackle two suspected arson incidents involving a fire on an embankment and a fire in a field on Saturday.
At 18:52 one crew from Stockton Heath attended reports of a fire on an embankment on Alder Lane, Warrington.
Firefighters used water backpacks and extinguishers to put out a fire on the embankment, that they believe to have been started deliberately. Anyone with information should call Cheshire Police on 101.
Then at 20:46 one fire engine from Warrington, attended reports of a fire in a field off Westbrook Way.
A small deliberately-lit fire involving a quantity of logs was extinguished by firefighters using a water backpack.
