Man charged with dangerous driving, drink driving and assault after police helicopter deployed at Lymm

A 39-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving, drink-driving and assault after the police helicopter was deployed at Lymm last Friday.

It followed police receiving reports of an assault at an address in the village shortly after 6 am.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson confirmed: “Shortly after 6 am on Friday, August 15, police received a report of an assault at an address in Lymm, Warrington.
“Arrest attempts continued throughout the day, with assistance from the National Police Air Service, resulting in the arrest of a 39-year-old man.
“Joseph Monaghan, of Thorngrove Avenue, Timperley, Manchester, has since been charged with dangerous driving, drink-driving, and assault.
