Man arrested on suspicion of arson at Latchford property

A 46-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arson following a house fire at Latchford, Warrington, yesterday, Sunday.

The man was arrested on suspicion of arson when Cheshire Police were called to Thelwall Lane by firefighters from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service at around 4 pm yesterday.
Following the fire, a casualty was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation and minor injuries.
Police controlled traffic while firefighters from Warrington and Lymm dealt with the blaze.
Two hose reel jets and a safety jet were used to tackle the fire on the ground floor of the property.
A high-pressure fan was used to clear smoke from the house and a thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots.
All occupants were accounted for.
